Three weeks past her due date, Nyilah Daise Tzabari made a dramatic entrance into the world—and it seems she’s been in a hurry to make up for lost time ever since. From the moment she was born, this remarkable baby has been astonishing everyone around her with how quickly she’s developing. At just two and a half days old, Nyilah was already performing feats most babies don’t achieve for months. She lifted her head and scooted herself across her hospital cot, prompting her parents to believe they might be raising a real-life superhero.
First-time mom Samantha Mitchell, from White Oak, Pennsylvania, was left speechless. “The video was taken when Nyilah wasn’t even a full three days old,” she said. “She was only two and a half days.” Samantha, 34, who has spent over two decades caring for children, admitted she had never seen anything like it. “I’ve babysat most of my life, and I’ve never witnessed anything remotely close to this,” she told Kennedy News in an interview later shared by the New York Post. “I guess I just haven’t been around many babies at three days old, but this really blew my mind.”
In the now-viral TikTok video, baby Nyilah can be seen using her tiny arms to push herself forward. Samantha’s mom can be heard gasping in disbelief, exclaiming, “No fricken way!” Meanwhile, Samantha reacts with amazement: “Oh my gosh. Mom! She’s crawling! Mom!…how does that even move?” Still reeling from the sight, Samantha joked to her baby, “That’s what happens when you spend too much time in mommy’s belly.”
Nyilah, born to Samantha and her fiancé Ofer Tzabari, weighed 7 lbs 6 oz when she arrived on February 27, 2023. Samantha captured Nyilah’s early movements on video not just because it was incredible, but because she knew no one would believe her otherwise. “My mom was the only other person in the room, and she told me to record it,” Samantha said. “My fiancé wasn’t there at the time, and honestly, if I hadn’t filmed it, he wouldn’t have believed me.”
That short video, Samantha’s very first TikTok upload, racked up over 57.5 million views, sparking a wave of amazement and laughter from viewers all around the world. Some users playfully joked that babies today are evolving at lightning speed, with comments like, “These new babies are different—they come out crawling, walk at one month, talk at three months, and get jobs by the time they’re two.” Another viewer quipped, “I’d run out without the baby,” while someone else joked, “Rumor has it she left on a plane a day later to live life.”
Medical experts note that most babies begin crawling between six and twelve months of age, and many skip the crawling stage altogether, going straight from sitting to walking. This only makes Nyilah’s early crawling even more astounding. “Oh momma! You better get home and baby-proof! That little one is already on the move!” warned another TikTok commenter.
By 18 days old, Nyilah was rolling from her belly to her back. At just one month, she was smiling in response to her mom. Two months in, she was rolling from back to belly. And by the time she reached three months, she was already landing playful punches. In one June 6 video, Samantha jokingly reacts as Nyilah—wearing soft mittens—accidentally whacks her in the face. “Oh, you punched mommy,” Samantha says with a laugh.
Her strength doesn’t stop there. Nyilah has already begun standing with support. Samantha says she and her fiancé aren’t encouraging her to stand—Nyilah simply refuses to bend her knees and sit. “She’s not standing on her own yet, but she stands while holding onto us and is always trying to push herself up,” Samantha explained. “She puts so much weight on her legs. It’s unbelievable.”
And it’s not just physical strength that sets Nyilah apart. Her mom says she’s incredibly alert and has been that way since the day she was born. “She doesn’t need her head or neck supported anymore,” Samantha shared. “She’s so strong that she even tries to push herself out of her little chair and bouncer. From day one, her strength has shocked us.”
Nyilah is also beginning to find her voice. At just seven weeks, she started babbling in a way that mimicked the voices of her parents. “We always say ‘I love you’ to her, and she seems to be trying to repeat it back,” Samantha said. “It’s mostly babbling, but you can tell she’s trying to copy us. And if she makes a noise and we laugh, she’ll keep doing it just to get a reaction. She’s a very clever baby.”
Despite all the jaw-dropping milestones, Samantha says the most heartwarming part of it all is just how happy Nyilah is. “She smiles and laughs all the time. The moment you smile at her, she smiles right back. She’s such a joyful baby, and I hope her videos bring joy to others too,” she said. Ofer added that, being a first-time parent, he assumed this kind of development was normal—until others pointed out how rare and advanced it really was. “I thought this was just how babies are,” he said, “but it turns out, she’s not your average baby.”
There’s no denying that Nyilah is an extraordinary little girl. From her earliest days, she’s been surprising everyone and hitting milestones that usually take months to reach. As Samantha and Ofer prepare to keep up with their fast-growing daughter, one thing’s certain: the world will be watching to see what Nyilah does next. With a smile like sunshine and a spirit full of determination, this little “super baby” is already making a big impact—one step, roll, and giggle at a time.
